The PTCUMC Kindergarten class began in the fall of 2003. The Kindergarten was created to give parents an option of a half day class that will offer all the academic skills needed to prepare a child for first grade. Kindergarten instruction is based on Georgia Performance Standards.
Our Kindergarten provides opportunities to meet the developmental and educational needs of children with a Christian orientation. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment in which children can develop a lively awareness of the world around them at their own pace: spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally and socially within an atmosphere of Christian love.
PTCUMC School staff is required to attend training each school year. The class is staffed with two trained Christian teachers. This training includes CPR/First Aid, Safe Sanctuaries and advance training in teaching tools and curriculum. Our school is certified as a Program of Excellence for Young Children by the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Preschool Association.
