Blessing of the Animals

When God created the earth, God said that all that had been made was good. God created animals of every kind to fill the earth, and some to provide companionship to human beings. All are invited to bring animals friends large and small to the Blessing of the Animals service on October 14 at 4:00 PM for prayer and celebration of God’s love revealed in all things great and small. All pets of all sizes are welcome but must be restrained. Dogs must be on leashes, cats must be in carriers, and reptiles must be in cages. Safety for all pets and their humans is mandatory.
