We continue to move forward our plan to add one initial outdoor worship service early Sunday morning on August 9 (weather permitting!) We continue to monitor closely the COVID infection rates in Fayette and Coweta Counties. As with all things COVID, a local outbreak could change our plans at any time.
We are designing a simple worship experience outdoors that minimizes the risk of COVID exposure. The concept will be that you park in our parking lot and walk to the outdoor seating space we will provide in our east parking lot (at the three flag poles.) We will still ask you to wear masks and socially distance between households. We will sing. Worship will begin at 8:30 AM. You will be outdoors and in the shade until 9:15 AM. Help us have a successful launch! We hope to grow into our experience of outdoor worship together. We are not taking anything away. Our online worship experience will continue just as it has been during our Covid response time.
Per the sermon invitation July 26th, if you would like to be a volunteer (one of the laborers in God’s harvest) for this service August 9th, please call Christine Lewis (770-487-6499) and place your name on the volunteer list for that day. We will contact you within a few days to describe our needs and ultimately arrange training if needed. We need a significant number of volunteers to make this service happen. How might God use you on this day to help others have a safe encounter of God in worship?
