After watching the video join us in reading the scripture below:

1 John 1:9“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

James 5:16“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

Acts 19:18: “Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed what they had done.”

Proverbs 28:13: Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”

Psalms 32:5: Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.”

Guided Prayer Questions:   

Confession is a way to live out faithfully our acceptance of that grace given to us on the cross. 

  1. How does confession of our sins glorify God?
  2. Can we allow ourselves to confess our sins and know we are truly forgiven?
  3. Our God knows all about us, do we really believe that there is a sin too deep to confess to him?
  4. Why should we go through confession to God routinely?
