About Us

We are a church committed to reaching out to our neighbors and connecting them with Jesus.

Welcome Home

Thank you for visiting our website. We are so glad that you landed here to get a small sense of who we are. We welcome you and invite you to join us for traditional worship on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and contemporary worship at 11. We also have Sunday School classes that occur before, during, and after each service. Exciting KiDS programming is scheduled for each week as well as youth-driven worship each Sunday evening for 6th through 12th graders, called 608.

We believe that God has called us to be a body of believers in Jesus with a goal to empower others to live generously.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sunday Worship is conducted at 225 Robinson Road.

When you enter our parking lot, we have dedicated visitor parking right up front!

PTCUMC has a “come as you are” atmosphere.  Some dress formally.  Others dress casually.  Some are dressed to go to work, and others are just coming from work.  However you dress, please be comfortable – we will welcome you no matter what you are wearing.

Yes!  We love KiDS.

Children in grades K-5th have “Sunday School” on the first floor during the 9:30 and 11:00 worship services.  We also have a fully staffed nursery for our youngest visitors.  Middle School and High School students have a Bible Study designed especially for them at 9:30 in Room 304, which is called Breakfast Club and it is located on the third floor.

We are a “Safe Sanctuaries” designated church.  All staff and volunteers with access to children have been screened and approved.  We also maintain a check-in system so that only the person dropping off a child can pick them up.  Your children are perfectly safe at our Church!

Every KiDS leader and volunteer that serve in our ministry has a background check and undergoes a one-on-one conversation to ensure the safety of our children in their care. In addition, we have a team of people constantly patrolling our environments to protect our kids and enforce our safety policies and procedures. After the service has started, any person in a KiDS environment must be wearing some sort of identification.

Our Sunday services offer powerful live worship and Biblical teaching that is relevant to everyday life. Take a look through our message archives to get a feel for what a service is like. Each service lasts about an hour. Our 9:30 service is more traditional, often including the Apostles Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and wonderful organ, piano and orchestra music. The 11:00 service is a more contemporary style filled with contemporary worship music and our worship band.

We offer periodic Connect 101 classes  which last about an hour. Connect 101 gives you the best overview of the church, our mission and our values. This is a great opportunity to meet with our pastoral staff one-on-one or in a small group setting. When you visit our church for the first time, please don’t forget to stop by The Welcome Desk in the lobby. We have a gift for you and some printed information that is helpful for newcomers.

What We Believe

We believe the scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments are the inspired word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) We believe the Holy Spirit guided and directed human authors to create God’s written means of communication with us, which reveals God’s love and plan to be in relationship with all of humanity.

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons…the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is equally the one God in being, essence, character, power and eternal qualities.

We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior who came to earth in the flesh to reveal God to humans and to restore all of fallen humanity to a personal relationship with God. We believe Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary; He is both fully human and fully God. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life and embodies the truth about God and the Truth of God. Jesus willingly died on the cross to demonstrate God’s love for sinful humans and to provide salvation for all humanity. His sacrifice in our place provides all humans the means to be reconnected with their loving Creator. We believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Jesus ascended into heaven, where he rules as our Lord (absolute authority) and advocate. Jesus will return to earth in the future to establish God’s perfect peace and justice for all time.

We believe in the divine nature of the Holy Spirit as an equal part of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is God present, living within each follower to empower a life that reflects the lifestyle, values and character of Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the change agent in the lives of Jesus’ followers, illuminating God’s word for understanding and application in the life of each. The Spirit is involved in progressively transforming each follower into the image of Christ and is actively working within the Christian community and world at large to bring about God’s plan of redemption for all people and all creation.

We believe the Church is a living organism made up of all those in a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, who are called to live in fellowship and worship together. We believe in the priesthood of all believers: everyone in relationship with Christ is gifted, empowered and called to serve within God’s mission to reach the world.
