The pursuit of American Independence was not a majority opinion. There was both a significant portion of people loyal to Great Britain and a significant group of patriots, but the majority of people were unsure. The roots of division go way back in history. Alienation, division and conflict took root in the the most ancient of all stories. Adam and Eve were designed in God's likeness. Designed from the ground up to find complete contentment in the presence of God.  Sin came in and created a barricade where there once was togetherness. A wall where there once was friendship. That barricade was of our making not Gods. So, what does God do - he sends his son....
