Kickoff Celebration | September 7

We’re just getting started, and it’s already been a journey! Right before the launch of a new year of ministry, unexpected storm damage and flooding left more than half of our campus unusable.

What could have been a setback became a testimony. Ministries began on schedule, students gathered for Breakfast Club, kids dove into God’s Big Story, our Weekday School welcomed families back, adult groups launched, and we worshiped in both Sunday morning services. Even while repairs continued, the Church was alive. Because the Church is not a building — the Church is God’s people, hopeful and resilient, carrying out a mission that never stops.

Now it’s time to celebrate. On Sunday, September 7, we’ll gather for our rescheduled Kickoff Celebration — a morning of worship, joy, and connection. After worship, everyone is invited to stay for a meal outdoors, enjoy lawn games, and reconnect with friends. Lunch begins at 11:30 so early service families can eat right away, and it will still be going strong after the 11:00 service so no one misses out.

September 7 also marks the launch of our new sermon series, For Our Neighbors. Being “for our neighbors” isn’t only about the people across the street — it’s also about those sitting beside us in worship. From traditional to contemporary, from old friends to brand-new faces, God calls us to be neighbors together. This fall we’ll explore what it means to serve with compassion, grow in faith, and share the love of Jesus both inside and outside our walls.

Think of one friend, neighbor, or co-worker you could bring with you. September 7 is more than just a fun gathering — it’s a reminder of who we are and who God is calling us to be: a church for our neighbors, united in Christ, and filled with hope for the journey ahead.
