“And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
― Dr. Seuss
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is upon us, though it seems there is never enough time to make it as wonderful as we’d like. This is especially true when it comes to making sure our kids remember why this time of the year is so special and celebrated. That kind of pressure can bring out the Grinch in the best of us. And that is why our Kids Team spends this most wonderful time of the year creating a family event called Jingle Jam! From family worship to a live nativity, inflatables, Christmas characters, games, music, and yes, Santa – Jingle Jam is a special way for you and your family to celebrate the Christmas season together. But as I like to think our friend the Grinch would say, “Jingle Jam, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
We believe that “what happens at home is more important than what happens at church.” Meaning that our faith really isn’t a living faith until it is lived out in our daily lives. Jingle Jam is a fun, shared experience for families to come together for just that purpose. It’s one of the ways we partner with parents and grandparents by placing you in a world that provides you the opportunity to take what happens here at church back home. This helps ensure that the true meaning of Christmas stays relevant, impactful, and meaningful for your family, not just during the holiday season, but throughout the entire year.
While you spend time making sure this season is magical and special for your kids, we hope you’ll find a little time to spend with us at Jingle Jam. Not only will it be the best Christmas party this side of the North Pole, more importantly we pray it will give you the opportunity to help your kids have my favorite Grinch moment, discovering and embracing that “Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
Jingle Jam is free and open to our entire community so we encourage you to invite your friends and neighbors!
