A Word from Angie Faulise | Leadership Board Chair

Greetings, Church Family!

As we move into 2021, I pray you are looking forward to the year ahead. I know we all do that, more or less, every new year, but this one seems like it just has to be a lot better than the last! Your resilience and willingness to adapt to the “new normal” in 2020 were inspirational. You reached out in love to those around you. With phone calls, Zoom calls, front porch visits, sweet notes, and many other small kindnesses, you let Christ’s light shine in the darkness. You may have felt like a solitary birthday candle at times, but together we made quite an impact on our community.

Though none of us knows what this next year will bring, I take comfort (and get a lot of joy) in knowing that I will be on the journey with my PTCUMC family. We will continue to find new ways to work together to make disciples of Jesus Christ in our changing environment, while still honoring our traditions (I can’t wait to sing out loud during worship! And gather in our coffee bar…and see everyone’s whole face! And sit knee-to-knee with my small group of 8th grade girls!).

As I assume the role of Lay Leader, I am so very grateful for the work done by the Leadership Board, led by Tom Snyder, in 2020. It was an unprecedented year. I really appreciate our Spirit-filled and very resourceful Staff, led by our amazing Clergy, who adapted and overcame, and are planning wonderful things for the year ahead. And I am thankful for you, my Church Family.  I look forward to what we will do together for Christ in 2021!
