Creating Lasting Memories

Ask any student about their favorite memory of church, and nine times out of ten, it won’t involve the church building itself but a trip they went on. It’s during those trips that friendships are formed or strengthened. They get to break free from their normal everyday routines, step out of their comfort zones, and simply be themselves. There really is just something special about going on a trip with a group of friends.

That’s exactly why Student Ministries offers events. Of course, they’re meant to be fun and a little ridiculous, because who doesn’t love having a good time? But beyond that, they also create space for meaningful conversations – those moments when tough faith questions come up and students feel comfortable asking them, knowing they’re surrounded by people who understand. These events offer a unique opportunity for growth, allowing students to wrestle with important topics in a setting where they can explore their faith with their peers.

With all of this in mind, we’ve got some really exciting things coming up that students won’t want to miss! And if you don’t have a student, we would love for you to pray for us as we embark on these memory-making events. Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Middle School Students: Registration for our summer retreat opens next week, and we’re heading to Orlando! The trip will take place from May 26th-30th, and it’s going to be the craziest trip of the year. Plus, if you sign up by April 6th, you can save $50 with the early bird rate!

High School Students: This Sunday, right after the 11:00 service, we’ll be meeting in the Foundry downstairs to talk about this year’s mission trip to Guatemala. It’s an incredible life-changing trip that is truly worth it. Register here and join us for lunch on us, while I share my heart about one of the best ministries in the world.

High Schoolers, you can also still register for our beach house retreat in Hilton Head, happening April 6th-12th. We’ll be enjoying the beach, going on adventures, and exploring what it means to live an abundant life.

I can’t tell you how much I love being a part of Student Ministry. It’s such a privilege to walk alongside students and watch them grow in their faith and friendships. Just like those trips that create lifelong memories, I know this summer is going to be full of moments that we will look back on for years to come. We’ve got some incredible experiences lined up, and I can’t wait to see how they shape students lives. From the retreats to the adventures, it’s going to be an unforgettable summer—one that will leave us all with memories and friendships that last a lifetime!
