Douglas Wayne Landers, born in Stratford Ontario Canada passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024, at the age of 75, in Peachtree City, Georgia. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend to many.
Doug dedicated years of his life working in the forestry equipment industry with Timberjack, King Power and retired from John Deere’s Waratah Forestry Attachments in 2014. His passion for his work shone through in all that he did, leaving a lasting impact on those around him. Outside of work, Doug found joy and fulfillment in spending time with family and friends, and he also enjoyed golfing, travel, and a good bottle of wine. He created countless memories that will be treasured forever by many.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sherry Landers, his daughter Carianne and grandsons, Deacon and Layton. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Landers and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Doug and Sherry have been part of the PTCUMC family since 1993.
His legacy of love, kindness and dedication will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to: The Emory Winship Cancer Institute, The Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
