Edwin T. “Butch” Hill passed away on April 11, 2026.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Butch shared 60 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary. He spent his career as a civil engineer before retiring to Peachtree City, where he became a faithful and active member of our church.
Butch was deeply involved in our scouting ministry and men’s ministry, always investing in others and helping build strong community. Known for his welcoming spirit, he never met a stranger and was often at the center of gatherings that brought people together.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his sons, Ed and Andy (Elisa); and his grandchildren, Madison and Jacob.
Butch will be remembered for his servant heart, his love for people, and his enduring faith.
A Memorial Service is planned for April 18, 2026 at Peachtree City United Methodist Church at 2pm. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
