Extra Extra – let’s celebrate the GOOD NEWS!
The Christmas season can be full – full of schedules, lists, events, and experiences. Jingle Jam offers a chance to slow down, laugh together, and reconnect with the GOOD NEWS that is the heart of Christmas: God sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue us and fill this world with hope, peace, joy, and love.
Jingle Jam not only creates an atmosphere where the wonder of Christmas comes alive, it also creates a way for families to carry the message of Christmas back into their homes, not only during December but long after the season ends. It is our prayer that families leave encouraged and able to start conversations about why the birth of Jesus changes everything, and that it opens the door to these conversations in simple but memorable ways that kids can grasp and parents can build upon.
But that’s not all. I am excited for you to meet my friend Amanda, who shares yet another way Jingle Jam helps us experience the meaning of Christmas – through the gift of service – and how serving isn’t meant to be limited to a specific age or gift.
Working with the kids who are part of our Praise & Worship team is one of the greatest blessings of my ministry. I have been dancing, cheering, and singing since I was seven, and being able to bring my passion into Kids Ministry feels like a beautiful full circle. Every Sunday, I get to witness something extraordinary—hands clapping, feet tapping, voices lifted in joyful song, and hearts learning to love Jesus in the most genuine way. Their openness and wonder remind me why I do what I do: because worship belongs to every heart, no matter how big or small.
I have served in Kids Ministry through music and dance for over 15 years. I wanted kids to know that worship is fun, creative, and deeply meaningful. What I didn’t expect was how much they would teach me. Their laughter fills the room with light. Their boldness in lifting their hands reminds me to worship without fear. And their questions—oh, their questions!—often lead me closer to God than any sermon could.
This ministry is more than choreography and music. It’s a space where kids discover their gifts and older students learn to lead. When a fifth grader helps a kindergartener find their spot on stage, I see mentorship in action. When a shy child finally smiles and joins the dance, I see confidence blooming. These moments matter because they shape a generation that knows how to stand in confidence for God with JOY!
One of my favorite times of year is Jingle Jam—our big Christmas celebration! It’s an afternoon of laughter, music, and twinkling lights where families come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Watching our kids lead worship at Jingle Jam is pure magic. They remind us that Christmas isn’t just about gifts under the tree—it’s about the greatest gift of all: Christ with us. Their energy turns the worship center into a place of wonder, and their joy spreads like Christmas cheer to every heart in the room.
I choose this ministry because it fills me with hope and allows me to walk alongside kids as they discover who God made them to be. It gives our church a glimpse of heaven—where every voice, young and old, joins in praise. May their worship continue to shine His light and remind us that this is how every believer was meant to worship.

Jingle Jam is designed to be a gift to the church and our entire community. It’s a chance for us to gather and share God’s love with each other, build connections, and point our friends and neighbors toward the GOOD NEWS of the best Christmas gift of all – God’s son, Jesus.
