Calling all who want to make a joyful noise! Here’s a chance to do just that!
Join the FESTIVAL CHOIR for “A Celebration of Carols” to be presented with orchestra on Sunday, December 15. No ongoing commitment required. Sing with us in this wonderful collection of carols of the season. It promises to renew your spirit singing joy-filled music of Christmas! Join us anytime – below is a suggested minimum.
Festival Singers Schedule:
- Wednesday, November 13 7:00pm – 8:00pm
- Wednesday, November 20 7:30pm – 8:30pm (later start due to church dinner)
- Saturday, November 23 10:00am – 12:00pm (special Saturday rehearsal)
- Wednesday, December 4 7:00pm – 8:30pm
- Saturday, December 7 10:00am – 12:00pm (special Saturday rehearsal)
- Wednesday, December 11 7:00pm – 8:30pm
- Saturday, December 14 10:00am – 12:00pm (final rehearsal with the Festival Orchestra)
- Sunday, December 15 “The Glory of Christmas” presented in 2 Services at 9:30 and 11:00am
If interested and you know when you might plan to attend just send an email to Mike Strain (mike.strain@ptcumc.org) so that he can have a music/CD packet waiting for you. You can also just show up at any rehearsal! Rehearsals prior to Dec. 14 are held in the choir room on the lower level of the east building (below the Contemporary Worship Center). Whenever you might choose to join please know that you will be warmly welcomed!
While totally optional, seasonal singers will benefit from joining weekly choir rehearsals even before the suggested minimum (Wednesdays at 7pm). Part-predominant audio CDs are available for all voice parts to help you learn on your own time and at your convenience.
