Groups FAQ

Groups are how a big church can feel small. They are groups of people meeting together consistently to create meaningful relationships. Modeled after Jesus’ ministry, Groups are how you experience community with one another, grow in your faith, and serve together. We are designed to thrive together with other believers, and we grow better together!

Yes! Every August we will host a Groups Block Party. We believe that real life change & growth happens in groups. While you can’t do life with everyone, groups create a space where you can do life with someone. Come celebrate and enjoy lunch with us! There will be fun for all, so invite your family and friends. This is a great opportunity for you to meet groups and their hosts. You can even register for a group at the Block Party. Get connected! We can't wait to see you there!

  • Activity Groups
Activity groups offer an opportunity to find and gather with a community of people who love doing the same thing as you do! It could be knitting a blanket or hat for a patient at a hospital, or hosting a prayer walk to pray for our community.
Groups typically meet weekly or bi-monthly for 1.5-2 hours. Groups typically meet during the school year and break during the summer.
Each group has a predetermined location. We offer on-campus and off-campus groups. Most groups meet off campus at homes or at community establishments.
Group registrations happens twice a year, in August and January. Every August, we will host a Groups Block Party to kick off the new year of groups. Group registration is online. When it opens, you’ll have the opportunity to view group options and register for the group that best fits your schedule and stage of life.

We understand and know this happens; therefore, we offer onboarding and offboarding twice a year: August & January. We ask, if possible, please continue with your group until the next onboarding; however, if this is not possible, please contact Allison Kickham for assistance.

Please contact Allison Kickham for assistance. If it is early enough into the semester, Allison will help place you in a group that has openings. We will have registration for groups twice a year: August & January.
Childcare is not provided for offsite groups; however, we provide a childcare supplement (at a predetermined rate) if you need a babysitter so you can attend small group meetings.
