Over the past year, our Student Ministry has been growing in ways that go far beyond the number of students walking through the doors. Each Sunday morning in Breakfast Club and each Sunday evening in The Foundry, we have watched students build friendships, ask meaningful questions about their faith, and discover what it means to be part of a church family. From weekly lessons and small-group conversations to retreats, mission opportunities, and plenty of fun along the way, God has been at work in the lives of our students.
One of the most meaningful signs of this growth is happening right at our doors. Week after week, we continue to welcome new students into our ministry. Some come with friends or family, while others are returning after being away for a while. Each week brings new opportunities to reconnect and build relationships. One of the most encouraging examples of this is Lillie, one of our students, who has taken it upon herself to help welcome new students and walk alongside them as they find their place in our ministry. By helping them feel comfortable, introducing them to others, and making sure they know they belong, Lillie is showing us what it looks like to live out our faith in everyday ways. These small but meaningful moments can leave a lasting impression on a student, shaping how they see our church and their place in it for years to come.
We are also seeing students grow more confident in their faith. They are asking deeper questions, sharing their thoughts, and praying with one another as they take greater ownership of their spiritual journeys. Students are inviting friends, and families are becoming more involved. Both students and parents are excited about where our ministry is headed. These moments remind us that student ministry is about more than filling a calendar or growing a group. It is about helping young people build lasting relationships with God and one another.
None of this would be possible without the incredible adults who give their time, energy, and hearts to our students. Whether they are teaching a lesson, preparing a meal, leading a small group, chaperoning a retreat, or simply showing up week after week, these leaders are helping create a place where every student is welcomed, accepted, and encouraged to grow. We are deeply grateful for the many people who have helped make this ministry what it is today.
As we look toward the future, we do so with excitement and gratitude. There are still so many students to welcome and opportunities for God to work through this ministry. Whether a student is walking through our doors for the very first time or returning after a long absence, we want them to know they have a place here. Thank you for being part of this journey and helping create a community where students can grow in faith and build meaningful relationships. We are excited to see where God leads us next!
