We remember Larry K. Burgess who passed away on May 14, 2026, at the age of 95.
Larry was a four year Air Force veteran who served overseas during the Korean War and later retired after 34 years with Alameda County Public Works in California. A gifted craftsman, he enjoyed restoring antique cars and gas engines, building boats and a camping trailer, backpacking with family, and hiking to the summit of Mt. Whitney.
Larry and his wife, Lynn, were dedicated Christians and members of Peachtree City United Methodist Church, where they belonged to a Sunday School class. Larry also shared his love of music by singing in the church choir with his beautiful bass voice.
Larry was known for his playful spirit, wonderful sense of humor, loving nature, and warm hugs. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and church family.
