Meet Mrs. Wilson | Dir. of Weekday School
My name is Cary Wilson, and this is my ninth year here at the school. I am so excited to begin this journey as Director of the Weekday School. I have been lead teacher for one of the 4 Day 4’s classes, an assistant for the 3’s on T, TH, F (3 years), co-teacher for the 2 Day 3’s (1 year), lead teacher for the 3 Day Early 4’s (3 years), and lead teacher for the 3 Day 4’s (2 years). Yes, I know those numbers don’t quite add up; some years I worked 5 days a week with two different classes.
My husband, Lance, and I are originally from Texas but moved to Peachtree City in May of 2005. We met at the University of Texas in Austin, and after graduation I went back to my hometown (Sherman, Texas) and earned my Teacher Certification and Master of Arts in Teaching from Austin College. In my life before children, I taught language arts at Wilson Middle School and wrote curriculum for Plano I.S.D. Lance is a pilot with Delta Air Lines. We have three daughters: Caryanne (20) is starting her 3rd year at Georgia Tech, Elizabeth (18) is headed to The University of Arizona, and Sarah (15) is a sophomore at McIntosh. I have kept busy the past 14 years as a Girl Scout leader and volunteer at my girls’ schools. My family is happy to call PTCUMC our church home, and the girls have been active members of 608, the student ministry program.
I am so excited to see what God has in store for us at the PTCUMC Weekday School! I look forward to getting to know your family as we “play with a purpose” this year!
