Men of Faith…The Importance of Men’s Ministry

One of the beautiful truths of Scripture is that God never intended for His people to walk the journey of faith alone. From the very beginning, He placed us in families, communities, and the Body of Christ so that we could encourage one another, hold each other accountable, and spur each other on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24–25).

Men, this is especially important for you. Our culture often pushes men toward independence, self-reliance, and “going at it alone.” But the truth of God’s Word calls you to something richer and far more life-giving called the brotherhood in Christ.

When men gather, across generations, from young men to great-grandfathers – something powerful happens. The younger gain wisdom from the older. The older gain fresh perspective and energy from the younger. Together, they become “iron sharpening iron” (Proverbs 27:17), shaping each other into stronger, more faithful disciples. In these moments of fellowship, faith is strengthened, friendships are formed, and lives are changed.

At PTCUMC, we believe that when the men of our church and community are deeply connected to one another, the whole Body of Christ is stronger. You encourage one another in your faith, you carry one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and you stand side by side in service to God’s Kingdom.

That’s why I want to personally invite you to an upcoming opportunity to gather, laugh, and connect. It’s not just about playing a game – it’s about building the kind of relationships that can last a lifetime and shape your walk with God.
