BJCC offers shelter, mentorship, nutrition support, and education, to children whose lives and families have been disrupted by civil war and the Ebola crisis. Our involvement in Liberia is evolving to focus on family reunification  and supporting young adults who have aged out of the Village. Our primary method for supporting these young adults is through sponsorships in a program we developed called "Heart 2 Heart". We are expanding our Liberian team of churches, pastors, and missionaries to assist us as we find new ways of being in ministry in Liberia.

Red Bird Mission and Red Bird Clinic have been providing ministries in this region of the Appalachian mountains since 1921. Chronic poverty, lack of jobs, poor housing and rugged, mountainous terrain provide obstacles to a fuller life for the residents. Red Bird Mission and Clinic strives to meet these needs through ministry in five areas: education, health and wellness, community outreach, economic opportunity and community housing improvement.

UMCOR responds to disasters in the US and around the world by working with communities and local partners. When a disaster overwhelms a community's ability to recover on it's own, UMCOR provides essential relief supplies and supports long-term rebuilding efforts. While UMCOR is not a first-response organization, it stands ready to accompany communities in need over the long haul of their recovery until a "new normal" is established after a crisis. "Early in and last out" is a guiding principle of UMCOR.

Wellroot restores children and families from trauma through Jesus Christ. There are thousands of children and young adults in the foster care system of Georgia who don’t know what a stable home feels like. As an agency of The United Methodist Church in North Georgia, Wellroot programs, Foster Care, Transitional and Independent Living and Family Housing, is designed to change this reality through faith-centered service. With a focus on supporting youth from infancy through early adulthood, we help people reach their God-given potential through the encouragement and love of a healthy home.
