During their time with us, kids will be served Goldfish/water in the rooms of ages 2-PreK. If a kid is in need of a snack, and there is not one provided by the parent for the 1-2 year old room, Goldfish/water may be given. Parents are welcome to provide an alternative peanut-free snack for their kid, if specifically needed. Please include all necessary items to feed in their bag. Let us know when it is feeding time and any special instructions.
Parents are responsible for alerting leaders and the staff of any allergies and dietary concerns/changes. If there is a special snack for the group, an allergy sign will be posted on the door.
ELEMENTARY
K-5 may have special snacks on various occasions. When this occurs, there will be a sign at the door for parents to note. Parents are responsible for alerting leaders and the staff of any allergies and dietary concerns/changes.
Please have all of your child’s belongings properly labeled. This includes:
- Bibles
- Drinking Cups
- Pacifier
- Diaper Bag
- Coats
- Bottles and Tops
- Diapers (only disposable are accepted)
- Blanket
- Snack bowl or bag
We recommend that you leave dolls/toys at home. These items are easily lost and can often be a distraction. All items found will be placed in the kitchen on the 2nd floor in the lost and found box.
Please note—we are unable to administer medications. We can administer Band-Aids and ice packs. If a kid requires medication, please make arrangements to personally administer what is required before dropping them off.
If a kid is injured while in our care, the leader will immediately notify the Director. The Director will be responsible for advising the kid’s parent. All injuries must be reported and documented no matter how minor they may seem.
Kids with allergies requiring the potential use of an EpiPen must weekly supply their own and give it to the Director or Welcome Team member at check-in.
Every KiDS leader and volunteer that serve in our ministry has a background check and undergoes a one-on-one conversation to ensure the safety of our children in their care. In addition, we have a team of people constantly patrolling our environments to protect our kids and enforce our safety policies and procedures. After the service has started, any person in a KiDS environment must be wearing some sort of identification: staff nametag, leader/volunteer nametag, or observer/guest sticker.
These safety measures, as well as our bathroom policies, check-in/check-out procedures, and evacuation plans are designed with our children in mind. As a church, it is our desire to provide an environment where kids feel safe and can focus on learning about Jesus and having fun. We also understand the importance of safety to parents and make all efforts to ensure that they are comfortable leaving their kids in our care as they enter into a distraction-free service.
Every week when a kid arrives, they begin their experience with their parents/guardians at the check-in kiosk. From here, KiDS are checked into our system and given a nametag with their name, grade and any other important information. The check-in/check-out system ensures that each kid who participates in our KiDS Ministry is released only to an authorized parent or guardian at the end of the service with a tag that matches the three-digit, alpha-numeric code on the bottom of their name tag.
