For generations, ‘meal times’ have represented important opportunities for families and loved ones to gather, enjoy each other and connect with one another. At least that’s the plan! They’re also a time for hard conversations about lessons learned and disagreements that often fail to reach a resolution. Either way, conversations shared over food with friends and family can be deeply formational.
The same was true throughout Jesus’s ministry. The gospel of Luke records multiple meal-time conversations that offer fascinating insight into both Jesus’s mission and into the kind of life He invites us to live. I’m looking forward to sharing these meals together and exploring one of Jesus’s key messages to His followers: there is More Than Enough in the Kingdom of God!
