FIND YOUR COMMUNITY

My “first dance” song at my wedding was “Better Together” by Jack Johnson. I love this verse in particular, “It’s not always easy and sometimes life can be deceiving, I’ll tell you one thing, it’s always better when we’re together.”

That’s exactly how I see life in a group being. Life can have its ups and downs and can be messy, but when we are with other believers and fully immersed in life with them, we can face anything together. God calls us to live in community; never alone. The earliest Church believed in living in community. In Acts 2:42-47, we see the importance of being part of a group. The early church set a great model for us. They truly understood the importance in doing life together. They learned together. They spent time together. They ate together. They prayed together. They experienced God together. And they helped each other. We too can experience this type of community.

Apart from community, we will never become who God created us to be. There’s a group for you. There’s an opportunity for you to be loved and known by others. What is holding you back from joining a group? I pray that you take the leap of faith to join one of our groups this Fall. Life is truly better together. So let’s go, let’s find your community!
