Companies and institutions make promises all the time that are pretty over the top! Yet, if we are honest, we buy their products because some part of us longs for the fulfillment of those promises. As followers of Jesus, we know the source of every good and lasting thing in our world is the God who raised Christ from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. The gospel of Jesus, which started with such a small group of people has and will continue to change our world. We stand on their shoulders.
