Matthias, the “unknown” disciple. He has been called the “blessed after-thought.” Ironically, he is famous for not being famous. As such, he can represent all of us “at large” disciples. His life is a lesson for us anytime we crave being recognized and valued because he represents ALL DISCIPLES who followed Jesus for reasons other than recognition.
