Jesus is still king. What Jesus is King does not mean is that the suffering and the pain and death on the cross don't happen. The reality that Jesus is our King doesn't eliminate the reality of suffering. Jesus as King means that the ultimate end has been secured. The end of this story is not in doubt... Suffering will not have the last word because Jesus is still King.
