In the next four weeks we will explore an image from Isaiah that helps us make a profound connection between the life-sustaining roots we form within the church and the life-changing fruit we bear beyond the church.  I’m looking forward to sharing my own journey of faith with you (my roots, if you will) as well as a vision for the kind of fruit that I believe Christ empowers us to bear in a world that is starving for God’s love.  As Isaiah says, God is calling us to take root downward and bear fruit upward!
