The book of Ruth is about a Moabite woman named Ruth and her journey to become a part of the Israelite community in Bethlehem. It's a journey that is geographical, relational and spiritual. It's a journey that gives her a place in the family lineage of Jesus.

People sometimes speak of "looking for God", but the truth is that God is looking for us. No matter how badly we fail, God chases after us. No matter how deep and dark the valley of our pain, God is with us. There is no place we can go, and no experience we can endure, that places us outside of God's reach. Sometimes we have to make our way home, but we must never forget that God makes the trip with us.
