This week we look into the role that Boaz plays. Boaz's story as the kinsman redeemer is a beautiful depiction of the gospel story itself. Naomi sent her daughter-in-law away empty and Ruth returns full. The work of the kinsman redeemer is the work of the Gospel.

When we encounter Ruth's story we can't fail to see that what Boaz does for Ruth is what God has done for us in the person of Jesus Christ. For those of us that have found ourselves on the outside there is a kinsman redeemer who has come for you. God has already paid the price and redeemed you - no matter what the reason - God has come for you.
