“We had so much fun at summer camp last year! Hadley really wanted me to volunteer to be her group leader. I was a little hesitant at first because I’m not used to being in charge. I’m usually the helper to the helper. I felt like it was important to take the opportunity to spend that time with my daughter and watch her grow in her faith and as a person. I think it’s a great time for all of us to make new connections and strengthen relationships we already have. My husband, Darren, volunteered to come in with us the first night to make sure they didn’t need any last minute help. He ended up joining us every night because he had so much fun helping the first night! Everybody works so hard to make camp amazing for all the kids and everyone involved. We get to play games, watch the kids run around being carefree and enjoying their summer vacation, and we get some pretty tasty snacks as well 😉!
