Everyone loves a good celebration.
Easter Sunday is one of the biggest celebrations of the year. The sanctuary is full. The music is joyful. The flowers are beautiful. Families gather. The energy is high. It’s a wonderful day.
But here’s the truth most people know from experience – the story doesn’t end when the big event is over.
Sometimes the best moments happen afterward.
That’s the idea behind our next worship series: The After Party: Easter Was Just the Beginning.
Because Easter is not the finish line of the Christian faith. It’s the starting line.
After the resurrection, Jesus’ followers didn’t go home and return to normal life. They were filled with the Holy Spirit. They formed a community. They discovered courage they didn’t know they had. They began serving others and sharing hope in ways that changed the world.
In other words, the real action started after Easter.
For four weeks, we’re going to stay in the book of Acts and explore what happened next – and what still happens in the lives of people who follow Jesus today.
And along the way, we’ll celebrate some meaningful moments in the life of our church:
April 12 – Confirmation Sunday
We’ll celebrate young people who are claiming their faith and stepping into the life of the church.
April 19 – Baptism Remembrance
We’ll remember the promises of baptism and the grace that holds us through every season of life.
April 26 – Celebration of Missions
We’ll highlight the many ways our church is serving others and sharing hope in our community and beyond.
May 3 – Holy Communion
We’ll gather at the Lord’s table and celebrate the life we share together as the body of Christ.
This series is about what comes next.
It’s about discovering how God’s Spirit is still at work.
It’s about learning how ordinary people become part of an extraordinary story.
It’s about living the kind of faith that grows day by day.
So once Easter Sunday is over, don’t disappear.
Come back.
The celebration is just getting started.
