Our New Welcome Desk & Office Support Admin!

You may have noticed a new voice when you call our church. We’re excited to introduce Julie Taylor, our new Welcome Desk & Office Support admin, who will be happy to assist you! Julie joins us with an array of experience in the workforce – most recently a postal clerk at CardsMart. However, she has also worked as a preschool teacher at First Presbyterian Kindergarten, a FCBOE paraprofessional, CSR at Animal Medical Clinic, and “way, way” back in the day, a District Manager for ADP in Phoenix. Born and raised in Athens, GA and a graduate of UGA, (GO DAWGS!) Peachtree City has been her home for close to thirty years.

She began visiting PTCUMC about three years ago, mostly to hear the chancel choir (boyfriend Clark Hanes sings tenor) and decided it was actually very good sometimes attending two Sunday morning services as her membership is at First Presbyterian. Her daughters are Kelsey (North Carolina) and Kendall (Sandy Springs). Julie is hoping for grandchildren in the not-too-distant future! Luckily, Clark shares his sweet granddaughters.  In the meantime, she enjoys occasionally volunteering in Kid’s Ministry both at PTCUMC and First Presbyterian. Also, at First Pres she serves on the Outreach Committee, lay reader, and the Caregiver Team.

A huge fan of both canines and felines, Julie has been pet sitting for well over twenty years. Other leisure pursuits include travel, reading historical fiction, SEC sports and Braves baseball.

Julie is very excited be working at PTCUMC. Her goal is to help the church staff, its members, and visitors to feel warmly welcomed as they pursue their relationship with our Lord, and with their brothers and sisters in Christ. Welcome Julie!
