Ecclesiastes 3:1 NRSV
1For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven…
Each of us has been given this “time” on earth. How is this time to be used? I suppose there are many ways to answer that question. After all, the writer of Ecclesiastes makes clear there are many seasons of time in our lives. Clearly, there are different priorities for our time in different seasons of life.
We want to spend some time with that question from a Christian perspective. What does a Christian do with their time? And perhaps more to the point, what do we at PTCUMC need to do with our time – right now?
Beginning May 30, we will begin a four week sermon series entitled “Over Time.”
For four consecutive weeks, we will strive to lift up one thing each week that we Christians can do “over time” as we move towards summer.
We sense the Holy Spirit desiring to inspire us deeper into God’s purpose for our shared time together “right now” through these four timely reflections:
- May 30: Share / Time: Sharing our faith with others over time
- June 6: Engage / Time: Engaging our faith though relationships over time
- June 13: Serve / Time: Serving God inside the church over time
- June 20: Go / Time: Serving God outside the church over time
Join with us in praise and worship as we continue gathering in our online community at 10:15 am Sunday mornings and in our on-campus gathered worship services inside the building on Sundays at 9:30 am and 11 am. Come worship with us “Over Time.”
God’s Peace,
