The season of Advent is upon us — a time to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ and reflect on the wonder of His birth. This year, we’re inviting you and your family to be a part of something special. Join us for a 3-week Advent Bible Study and dinner on Wednesday evenings, where we will explore the deeper meaning of this holy season together. It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to gather in fellowship, dive into the Word, and grow in faith as we celebrate the true reason for the season.
Why Advent? Why Now?
Advent marks the beginning of the Christian liturgical calendar and invites us to slow down, reflect, and anticipate the birth of our Savior. Amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it can be easy to lose sight of the sacredness of this time. Advent gives us space to focus on the Holy Moments in the Christmas story and in our everyday lives. In this 3-week study, we’ll explore key Holy Moments in the Christmas narrative. These moments were filled with divine purpose and presence, and they remind us that God is still at work in the ordinary, everyday moments of our lives as well. Together, we’ll learn how we can recognize and embrace the Holy Moments we encounter each day.
We know that this time of year can get busy, so we’ve made this study accessible for everyone. Not only will adults be encouraged to dive into Scripture and grow in faith, but we’ve also prepared a special program for kids and students. There’s something for everyone!
Each Wednesday evening will include:
- Dinner Together to nourish our bodies and deepen fellowship as a church family.
- A Family Bible Study where we’ll gather to read, discuss, and reflect on the themes of Advent.
- Special Programs for Kids & Students to ensure that everyone in your family can take part in the Advent journey.
Come and Experience these Holy Moments with us here at PTCUMC. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this Advent season with you!
