Thank you, PTCUMC family, for your flexibility and graciousness as we’ve had to adjust and adapt navigating this pandemic season!
The 8:30 Outdoor Worship services have been new, exciting, and meaningful. Your response is deeply appreciated. The outdoor service was always planned as a step toward returning to worshiping inside. The Leadership Board has prayerfully considered our next steps as we move into fall.
We developed the following plan as we continue to monitor the situation.
Oct 4: Time Change
- Outdoor Worship (Traditional) moves to 9:30 AM
- Time change due to sunrise and temperature changes
- Online Worship moves to 10:15 AM
- Outdoor Worship will also be at 9:30 AM on Oct 11
Oct 18: Location Change
- Outdoor Worship (Traditional) moves inside
- Service time remains at 9:30 AM
- Worship will also be in the TWC at 9:30 AM on Oct 25
- Worshiping outdoors is discontinued
- Online Worship continues at 10:15 AM
Nov 1: Additional Service / KiDSMin
- Contemporary Worship resumes in the CWC at 11:00 AM
- Childcare for Babies – PreK at 9:30 & 11:00 AM
- Traditional worship continues in the TWC at 9:30 AM
- Online Worship continues at 10:15 AM
Note that our improved online worship will continue for those not yet ready to join us onsite.
We will continue to follow guidelines for social distancing and masks. We will ask everyone to follow directions for entrances, exits, stairways, and the elevator. We will have maximum attendance limits for each worship space. We will strongly discourage person-to-person contact (i.e. no hugging or handshakes).
Be aware that we will be unable to do congregational singing once we move inside. We will not have the choir in the traditional services, and will rely on soloists and small ensembles for musical support. We will continue to follow recommendations in these matters.
Additionally, our Kids Ministry Team is working hard to return to a limited Sunday morning program with November 1 as a tentative target. Keep watch for further information as we work hard to keep families safe during this time.
We continue to monitor Fayette, Coweta, and Georgia numbers and guidance. We ask for your understanding and grace as we navigate still choppy and unknown waters. We have made a plan, but please realize that outside factors are still evolving.
Stay safe, wash your hands, and we will see you in worship either onsite or online.
